2011 Cover Design for Primary Sacrament Meeting Program
For the past few years I have made a program cover for the children’s presentation at church. I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We call the classes for the children, Primary. Primary is for all children three years old up to age twelve. (When they turn twelve, it’s on to another thing.)
The Primary children all learn speaking parts and songs for the Sacrament Meeting Presentation. It’s a fun meeting and the kids do a good job telling about Gospel principles they learned that year. This year’s theme is: I Know the Scriptures are True.
I post the design each year for Primary leaders around the world to use, free of charge. All I ask is for you to leave a comment telling me, and the other people who see this blog, where you are in the world and the name of your Ward. Also, Please make sure that all copies you make have my name and the copyright on them. It is on the lower right side of the art. (A Ward is what most churches call a congregation. It’s a unit of the church.)

Click on the link at the bottom of the post. Double-click on the image. Copy, then paste it to whatever design program you are using (PhotoShop, InDesign, Page Maker, etc.). Or copy the image URL and import it to your program. I’m not a computer whiz, but I think that is how to do it. My son helped me with the typography and the border. I’m working on getting better at the technical stuff. I went to college in graphic art in 1976-78 B.C. (B.C. stands for “before computers”). If you can’t figure it out you may need to find someone to help you who was born in 1980-99 A.D. (A.D. stands for “after digital”).
